While site wide links may appear to be convenient and strong, but it is not so and it means links from all the pages of the site, or maximum number of pages of the same site. For instance, you could obtain 10,000 backlinks from website having equal number of pages. The issue here is that Google would not count so many links from the same site. Ten thousand backlinks may not be counted as such but you could still benefit.
Other deals you can find include, article submission, directory submission or backlinks from a network of blogs. Buying multiple directory submission services make no sense as they are likely to congregate into the same sites. Only after doing some intensive research would you be able to find out the best deal going in directory submissions. A thousand directory submissions means that you have struck a magnum deal.
With regard to article submissions, you have to ensure that they are not submitted to the same directories so the best option is to ask for samples or list of the directories. Once again, a deal where they submit to a thousand article directories is great. You need not continue with your research for a better deal, as it could mean back-breaking work.
When you buy backlinks a whole lot of links would be aimed at your site. While this is highly commendable, make sure that different anchor texts are used. Make some six or eight combinations of your primary keywords and use all.
Variation in the keywords mean when you make new keywords out of the main keywords keeping the main keywords as it is. Do not take this too seriously, just make sure you change it sometimes. When you buy backlinks from blog networks, make sure that the blogs do not carry the same IP address. It does not matter if they have no pagerank, but make sure the blogs are indexed at least.
Certain deals consist of purchasing links from high pagerank websites, but these are usually more expensive. You should not get involved in such expensive deals with a limited budget but even buying many links from zero to low pagerank sites could still bring you profits.
