As an internet marketing beginner, searching for a method to begin making money online, you may want to consider “Cost Per Action” marketing. Done right, it is one of the simplest methods of affiliate marketing that is often overlooked because it has, for so long, been considered a mystery that only the so-called ‘big players’ knew all about. And that, to a degree, is true, because they have steered other internet marketers in the direction of clickbank product promotion to keep the truth to themselves.
Cost Per Action, sometimes referred to as “CPA,” is a type of Internet marketing that requires consumers to complete specific actions ” this usually entails filling out a form and requesting a free product sample, signing up for a free trial. In some cases, it involves asking the consumer to try a new product or service by making a small purchase.
The benefit to you, the affiliate marketer, is that the traffic/visitors you steer to the advertisors, only have to take an action for you to get paid…rather than make a substansial purchase. For example, a company wanting to test a new product they have developed, in order to get consumer feedback, create an offer where they agree to pay you $1.75 for every person that submits their emai address and zip code…all you need to do is send visitors to their site and then collect your $1.75 each time a person opts-in.
$1.75 may not seem like a lot and this is a fairly standard rate for this type of offer, but because it does not require much of the visitor they are more likely to take action and the dollars soon mount up. Some offers may pay as much as $37 for an opt-in, but these higher payout offers usually require a lot more information from the visitor or ask for a small upfront payment that may be more difficult to get the visitor to do.
Basically, you are, as a CPA marketer a traffic broker: You buy the traffic send it to the offer and get paid on how well it converts. Simple, huh? It can be but it often isn’t.
You see, because of it’s high profitability, CPA marketing is also highly competitive, especially for the beginner. Competing with other affiliates making $500-$1000 a day, right through to super affiliates making up to $100k a day, can be challenging when you’re just trying to get started and unfortunately many beginners get frustrated and give up when they realise this type of marketing can be difficult and expensive. CPA marketing, done right can be and is, all that the sales letters say it can be. You can make those big dollars if you know what you’re doing you just need to do your homework first if you want to succeed with this type of internet marketing.
