Whether you\’re new at prospecting or it\’s old hat, there are still times you feel anxious about getting on the phone. Even the experienced prospector occasionally gets out of the groove (for whatever reason…maybe just a bad morning or a trip to the dentist). Hopefully, whatever it is that gives you that bad feeling in your belly won\’t keep you from picking up that phone entirely. Remember, this is the one activity that makes you the most money in your business!

When you\’re talking with a prospect, you suddenly find yourself with nothing coming out of your mouth… You\’re mind has unexpectedly relieved you of all thoughts. You\’re blank. Did you notice, however, that each \”I just found out…\” phrase ended with a question? This is essential if you want the dialogue between you to progress. You do, don\’t you? Answer: YES!

You can also use this as a great introduction when you\’re out there in the world just doing your daily tasks…after all, we\’re always prospecting, right?

For example, you\’re talking to your waitress at a restaurant; you\’ve established a rapport. She\’s got a great outgoing personality…you have an instinct about her entrepreneurial abilities. At some point during the conversation, you can say: You know Sue, I see how hard you are working, sweating, running around and expending all this effort just for few dollars here and there…Well, I just found out how you can earn $10,000 per month from the comfort of your home and never have to serve another dish again…Is that something you are interested in hearing more about?
