MLM Marketing Trick: Getting A Young Website To Rank Fast

The other day I was on a blog that I frequent for tips and tricks for marketing my MLM business online. The blog topic that day was how to get free backlinks to your blog using some pretty good methods. The biggest thing that was left out of the post was where to point the links to: a homepage, subpage or what? I would venture to guess that most people on that blog don’t have a ton of SEO experience or knowledge.
The following is a little tip that will answer the question of where to point your links to in order to gain maximum effectiveness.
The big determining factors in ranking a website are the number of backlinks, proper structure, page rank, and authority. Well, if you have a new site, you probably only have a few of the above. With that being said, you can get pieces of content that you post on your website ranking easily (i.e. video, articles, blog posts, etc.).
I am going to try to paint a mental picture of what is going on the the big ocean of Oogle with your site. Currently, your new site is like a car stuck at the bottom of the ocean, weighted down by the age. Your content is like balloons without air. Adding backlinks to your content is adding air to the balloons and pulling the content to the top of the ocean. Get enough balloons filled with air attached to your car and they will begin to lift the car off of the bottom of the ocean and gradually pull it towards to the top. Hopefully this is a clear enough picture of how you can use content to rank your site.
In light of this, the way to get your site to rank a lot quicker is to point your links back to your content instead of your main page or sub pages like most people do. When you put out an article, video, or blog post on your site go out and comment, get some social bookmarks, post the content on another site with the links pointing back to the original piece of content. Ranking the content this way is a lot easier and quicker for new sites.
The reason I wrote this article was because I am fairly certain that there is a lot of confusion when it comes to SEO and ranking. I am also sure there are tons of people out there getting a lot of backlinks and pointing them to the wrong place.
