MLM Prospecting – 4 Hot Steps For Network Marketing Prospecting

MLM Prospecting What is It?

If you look up prospecting, it is defined as looking for gold. That is a very applicable definition of MLM Prospecting, you constantly look to hit gold in your business. And just as gold will run in veins, so will your MLM success run in veins through your team, and you must always mine these veins.

If you actually think about it, Network Marketing Prospecting is just the tactics and strategies of discovering people that you can talk to about your business. Plain and simple. In no way is this rocket science, just talking to folks is how we make our living and get paid to do. You must talk to people so therefore you must discover people to tell your story to.

Unless you want to end up like 90% of Network Marketing people, prospecting is one activity that you have to practice everyday.

If you run out of people to talk to, then you will leave the MLM business claiming that it doesn’t work. Well the MLM business does work, as long as you constantly have people to share your business with, and you effectively do it.

We have taught MLM Prospecting for years and there are 4 steps that have proven effective. Everyone prefers a sequential path to follow, and this is how we live life. This path of Network Marketing Prospecting you should travel, to guarantee that you handle the prospect properly. You need to understand that prospecting is a step by process, not a one shot deal. A lot of prospects can be yielded if the MLM Prospecting is done properly. Then you will have a lot of folks looking at your business all at once.

What is this 4 step process?

1) Finding

This step is simply using different tactics and tools to find folks that may have a desire to look at your business and products. There are way to many ways to do this to list here. But you must have multiple ways of locating people for your Network Marketing Home Business working at the same time and in some ways it is an art.

Locating, someone to converse with can be very easy. People are everywhere you look. And I have yet to meet a person that doesn’t want the best out of life and what life has to offer. Finding prospects is just a matter looking and searching for people that want to use your services, products or look at your business plan.

2) Revealing

You need to create an exposure, once you find someone, one that is quick and gives them an idea, of what the company is all about and who you are looking for. This presentation is not really that formal, but a 30 second commercial that is commonly called an approach.

This first exposure of your Network Marketing business and products can happen in many ways, email, video, over lunch or phone call etc.

Now in this initial exposure of your business, you are only exposing the idea not the information to them. You want to find out if they are interested or if they know someone that is interested in the idea of your business or products.

MLM Prospecting tools is the best way we have found to do this. This can be videos, cd’s, or brochures that people can watch or read. one that is brief and to the point, that will get the prospect emotional are what we have found that work the best.

3) Classifying

In this step you will discover that you are talking to only two types of prospects.

People who are very open to a new idea. (These are the prospects that will listen to you)

People that have a closed mind to new ideas. (These prospects will not listen to you)

Separating your prospects into these 2 categories is a must. The ones that will listen to you move them forward, those that will not listen to you discuss product and ask for a referral. It is imperative that you master this step, because this is the step where you will stop chasing prospects that aren’t interested.

“Did this make sense to you” is a question you can ask to find out what they think of the idea. And you will discover if they truly want to learn more about your MLM business.

“What part did you like the most about the commercial I sent you?” is another good question, to learn where they are in relation to your idea.

4) System

The prospects that are willing to listen, should be put in your company or your up-line’s recruiting system and allow the system to work. Now is the time to get them on product and schedule a formal meeting. This could be a conference call, web-cast, or a home meeting

If the prospects are not willing to listen to your idea, put these prospects in your followup system and sometime down the road, followup with a phone call, when the timing is better for them. You should always ask if it okay for you to keep in touch with them to update them on the success of your Network Marketing efforts.

Compared to a filtering system this 4 step process is very similar. Since it will filter out those that have no real interest in your idea. And allow you to focus your time on those that have a real interest in either becoming a customer, distributor or maybe helping you in some other way.

Becoming a Master MLM Prospector is imperative. The odds of you striking gold in MLM Prospecting in Network Marketing will be dramatically increased if you follow these 4 steps.
