As recently as a few years ago, it seemed that network marketers believed that “Everybody is your prospect.” This meant that the potential customer could have been anyone. However, this is really not the best mantra to live by. Different people will always have different needs. First, good prospects are those who want your product because they feel that what you are offering them is the solution to their needs and problems. The leads will be upfront about their desires and will be willing to foster the growth of your business because they feel that your offering is valuable and should be expanded.

You want to move non-interested leads from the list as soon as possible because they will not help your business in the long run. It will save you untold amounts of time, money, and frustration if you will only worry about how your marketing reaches those that are interested in your offer. You have a better chance of picking up downlines through interested parties because they are the ones that think your product is worth selling to begin with.

Quality prospects are ones that recognize your value as a member of your industry. These are the individuals that will seek you out to gain your expert knowledge. If you stumble across a prospect that keeps giving your business a second and third look, then they are probably a good candidate for inclusion in your business.

If you have properly established who your target market is, you will find it much easier to generate leads within this market. Instead of exhausting yourself in hard selling your product to passive prospects, you can now devote much of your time laying out all of your business’s information to quality MLM leads. Your content is always and forever shall be the backbone of your MLM business. To successfully market your product, though, you will need a good set of leads, a good system for generating leads, and quality content. If you can achieve this you will see improved sales.
