Is Direct Sales Right For You?

Looking to get into direct sales but you don’t know whether or not you’ll be cut out for it? For sure there are a lot of advantages to jumping into direct sales but make especially sure this line of work is for you before taking the plunge. What you need to ask yourself is:
1) Think whether you like to sell things, especially in a home party. This gives ways to meet and interact with old friends and make new friends. However not everyone likes cold calling and interacting with people.
2) Figure out whether or not money motivates you because finding new customers at first isn’t going to be easy for you and to get you through these lean times you are really going to have to be motivated to do so.
3) Do you think you would work well with people working in your down line? If you can answer yes to this question you’ll be setting yourself up to earn commissions when the people working underneath make sales.
4) How much do you think you would enjoy marketing your business and the products you will be representing? It will take a lot of work to get the word out about your business. Which could mean anything from handing out pamphlets to your neighbors to posting an ad to your friends on Facebook. The more you love marketing the better chance you will have at becoming successful in direct sales.
5) Do a check list on yourself on things like whether you can track your sales and income, maintain the list of orders and track them and also organize parties in between marketing your business.
6) Are you the type of person that sees the glass as half empty or half full? Don’t kid yourself earning money in direct sales isn’t always going to be a cake walk so keeping a positive mindset is something you will always want to work on.
7) How great are your communication skills? To succeed in direct sales it’s imperative that you be able to communicate well with not only your customers and up line, but your down line members as well. The better you are at communication with these three groups of people the more money you’ll earn in your business.
If you answered yest to at least six of the above questions you may have what it takes to earn a great living in direct sales.
