But the problem is that too many associates are relying on their websites to do their selling rather than speaking directly to the person who might want join.
Most network based companies provide websites to their associates to use to order products and also to promote their business. Many associates direct potential business partners to their business website and tell the person who shows interest in the business to find out more about the company and the opportunity on the associates’ website. The problem with this strategy is that the potential associate is left to find answers to his questions on his own.
The internet can be an effective tool to build up leads for a network marketer looking to build his business. The savvy internet marketer can bring in ten to twenty leads an hour through various online marketing techniques. But a lead needs to be closed and only a real live person can close the deal not a website.
People who know how to use their websites can collect leads very quickly. A good internet marketer might collect up to twenty leads in one hour. But a lead is not a sale until the lead is contacted and closed. The best way to close a lead is to talk with the person who shows an interest in joining the business and not directing the potential associate to a website.
The network marketing business is a numbers driven business and nothing is going to change this fact. Online marketing is a good way to increase the numbers of leads an associate but the website is not going to close the deal. Relationship building is the way to close a sale and people who think that the internet is the answer to their business needs have to realize this.
The new network marketing plan that relies on the internet can be used effectively but it has to be used as a tool and not a means of building a business. The person who understands that networking is about relationship building will be successful in the end. People want to work with real people and not with websites.
