Shaq and Enlyten, What a Combo!

Consumer to consumer marketing company, enlyten, signed Shaquille O’Neil to be its spokesperson. The products they sell are “bi-layered nutraceutical film strips” which is a convoluted way of saying melt on your tongue strips. They are hoping a Shaq-enlyten pairing will boost the company’s notariety.
The Shaq-enlyten partnership wasn’t announced via press release. It was announced by Shaq himself. He didn’t get in touch with his media contacts, and he didn’t even send out a press release. He announced the deal via his twitter account. Welcome to the world of high technology.
The Shaq-enlyten partnership will be fantastic for promoting the electrolyte strips to athletes, but the company also makes other strips. Some have appetite suppressants, others burn calories. I guess Shaq could promote their melatonin strips, saying they help him sleep when he’s on the road.
Celebrity endorsers don’t like to be sued over their endorsement deals. So enlyten, in addition to announcing the Shaq-enlyten partnership, also announced their Medical Advisory Council. It is a 6 doctor panel. And I may be profiling here, but I am concerned a bit to see the first name of one of their doctors is “JoeBob.”
The Shaq-enlyten business arrangement will get major media attention on July 31st when the deal goes public. Shaq will be there live in Las Vegas while enlyten officially goes public. It is hard for a 7 foot tall man to not get a lot of attention.
The Shaq-enlyten partnership will bring a tidal wave of interest about the company, and the website urges people to sign up now so they are in place for the big launch. But it is going to take more than the initial burst of traffic to make a successful enlyten business.
The best way to make a successful business is to go out and learn marketing on your own. An online marketing course will give you a good view of marketing, and help you to develop a marketing strategy that is well suited to your interests and business goals. There is not only one way to create a successful MLM business.
Even though the Shaq-enlyten announcement will bring a lot of traffic to your enlyten website, you shouldn’t rely on that to build your business. If you give yourself a fighting chance by taking a marketing course, your life can improve more than you ever thought possible.
