You have a choice as a network marketer. You have to choose from earning income or making excuses. In order for you to have any type of financial freedom and triumph in your MLM business, you need to give up these two things; Making Excuses and Blaming.
For every network marketer that I\’ve come across, they are either doing these two things: making money or blaming some and giving excuses. Give me the opportunity to clear my ideas here. You are either making money or giving excuses and blaming someone for your letdown. Imagine if you own a McDonald franchise, and you did not make any profit in your first year or first month. Are you going to blame the corporate office or the regional inspector? What I think is that, you wont. It is because of the fact that many people has become successful because of this system. Let\’s have a simple break down about it.
Giving excuses for your MLM or home based business failure is simply to clear yourself from the blame. So you had a home meeting with 49 guests and no one signed up and you gave up? So what if the phone of your upline was cut down that you could not have him or her for a 3-way call? To make an income or to give excuse is what you have here. Take ownership of the MLM Networking business that you have.
This would become a very good thing if your upline is accessible 24/7 on phone line. It would be nice for you to be a great speaker with PhD in sales. If my mansion is just next to the white house, that would also be great. However, their is no perfect thing in reality. IT DOESN\’T MATTER WHAT IT TAKES, JUST DO IT. If your closing skills is lacking, work on it. If your marketing skills is lacking, work on it. If your communication skills is lacking, work on it. You cannot give excuse. Focus on doing good at your ability.
In actuality, we do not only give some excuses, we also discover ways to put the blame on the other for our mistakes. YOU ARE YOUR UPLINE! Let that resonate in your mind for a minute. Possibly, you are whining about your team\’s growth ratio for it does not meet up your expectations? Are you the number one recruiter in your team? I am 99.96% sure that you are not but you still want to point finger and blame your business partners who are basically duplicating what you are doing. Everyday, how much time do you waste in finding your prospects? Blaming is considered to be a mediocre language. I\’m not telling you some of the upline cannot be put into blame. Just don\’t.
In conclusion, I am not saying some circumstances beyond our control can\’t lead to slackness in our MLM business. Life can get in the way. But who does not have any own issues they\’re considering? You think that you have this that bad? MOVE OUT. Do not be a leaner but instead, be a doer and a learner. Remember this, if you point a finger to someone, guess how many fingers is pointing to you? If your answer is four, you are definitely correct.

If you want to have success in your MLM business then you must learn sponsoring secrets of the top producers in the industry. This is one of the most basic skills you need to have to see any type of residual income and achieve success since the big money comes when you have learned how to endlessly and effortlessly sponsor new people and help them to do so as well.
So now you are probably wondering what you need to do in order to begin sponsoring new people every single day. First and foremost you must learn basics of sponsoring in order to succeed. These basics are the keys and principles needed to begin sponsoring new distributors effortlessly. Once this is mastered you will then be able to sponsor new people every single day.
The first thing you should now is that in order to sponsor anyone you need to get your opportunity in front of them. This is a practice you must learn to do many times a day. This may be difficult to do especially if you have already exhausted your warm market list. Other methods of getting leads include the three foot rules or buying lead lists which require you to do cold calling. Well, I am not going to tell you to do either of those things because the leads you get from those strategies are very low-quality leads and the chances you have of converting them to sales are very slim. There are actually many simple ways to generate leads using the internet through marketing avenues such as social networking, video marketing, or even pay-per
You must also learn that before you can sponsor anyone into your MLM deal you need to be able to establish a relationship with them. Chances are you do not like sales people and are turned off when someone tries to sell you something you are not sure you want or they are trying to just make a quick buck. In this industry sales are made off of relationships that have been established. Try selling someone you do not know a product or your opportunity and you will have a very high rejection rate. Building that relationship will help you sponsor more people.
And finally the last key is leadership. If you are not seen as a leader the chances of sponsoring anyone greatly declines. If you are not seen as a leader your lead will not think that you are able to help them succeed. They want someone to follow with a system in place that will allow them to have success. If you want to consistently recruit new distributors you need to be seen as a leader that will have reproducible efforts. Leadership is crucial to any business in order for it to succeed and grow.
If you can implement each of these principles into your business you can begin effortlessly sponsoring new distributors every single day. By having a system in place, establishing those relationship and being a leader you can have success!
Be sure to get started learning lead generation strategies to effectively apply these MLM sponsoring secrets for the growth of your business.
MLM – If Its So Good, How Come The Majority Fail? – Here Is Why!

Many have done it – been influenced by the enthusiasm of others and decided to join an MLM opportunity, only to find pain and anguish down the line. They drag names and contacts out of their address books and after some weeks there is no one left around who will speak to them.
After a few months, I found that no-one left in my address book were returning my calls and the ones who had joined were not doing much. So, things petered out and after a year I could not even remember what the whole thing was about.
So, I put the experience down to one of the lessons in life – and the main lesson was ‘MLM does not work’. After a time my friends came back after they realised that the madness that had infected me had passed and I was now the normal Alan again.
Does this sound familiar to you? I know that I am not the only one to go through this experience. It seems that over 96% of all MLM newbies have a very similar experience.
Then, I became involved in a standard non MLM business and after some time of trying this – I had some success and though not metioric, I did learn some things. The most valuable lesson was, my perspective had changed. When I got a second opportunity to try MLM again, this time I found myself willing and able to think outside of the box and it is this that made the difference.
I studied MLM and those that had been successful and those that had not and the results that I found were quite remarkable, to me at least.
I asked myself, what is the difference in approach to the way most people who enter MLM attack their business compared with the way a successful business person in a non MLM business attacks theirs.
I discovered that standard business people look at business in a different way to that of MLM newbies. The latter do largely what I did but the real 1% of MLM business people who became millionaires on the back of it look at matters differently. The top 1% invest in themselves, their business and use professionals such as accountants etc to do the things that they cannot. Of these key areas, the main one here is marketing or how and where they are going to find new customers.
I then looked at MLM newbies – who usually have an employees mindset – they have little knowledge of the above areas of business and so they invest in the wrong things. Some buy tons of product believing that their business is about selling as much of it as possible.
This brings me on to the next point that I would like to make – concentrating on the product. I found by studying how successful MLM business people worked, that this is the number one mistake made by MLM newbies. They get seduced into how good the vitamin supplement or brass cleaner is and they fail to realise where their key earnings potential is.
Now at this point I was feeling a bit heady – I could tell that I was onto something now.
So, here is the MLM newbie, he has worked hard by contacting all of those people they know – some have joined and others are hiding behind the couch (sound familiar ?). This persons downline is stuffed with people who have done the same and whilst this will generate a small income, it does not generate enough to even remain qualified as an agent yourself.
The only thing that can be done is to go out and bore some people who you have not met yet – buy some leads. So more money out and our MLM newbie slogs away trying to convert a whole pile of people – long hard work and maybe 2% of the list joins the newbie. The end result, you just have more people just like the others who are going no-where.
When I studied how the top 1% work, I realised that they do it much differently. They invest into their business by obtaining the right information. Most of that data costs money because it is valuable and it has usually been produced by the millionaires who were in this 1%.
So, I took this action by investing in my own knowledge in this area which I considered was necessary for my success. I downloaded articles, books, reports and watched DVDs which were relevant to my subject and after a while I realized that I had found the seam of gold – this I was sure was what I needed.
After much study I began to understand that the best way to approach MLM was to recruit other good MLM people who were facing the same dilemma as me. These people were who I wanted to have in my own downline – but one problem – they already had an MLM opportunity of their own so how was I going to achieve this ? – I asked myself.
Thankfully, this aspect was covered in the material that I had obtained and it only cost me a tiny amount (less than $50). It was clear to me, that I had to provide leadership and direction for my new team if I was going to operate in this way. I realised that if I were to offer new agents a clear and defined play as to how they could run their business and be successful, they would want to join me and I would become the ‘hunted’ instead of the ‘hunter’.
That is the basis of my new discovery in a nutshell, anyone who wants to become a successful MLM entrepreneur needs to think differently. If you think the way you always have, you will get the results you have always got, so you have to do something different. The person that I had chosen to be the subject of my study was one of the most successful MLM business person on the planet. This man had used the same new principles that I had just heard about to build one of the most successful MLM downlines in history.
I have now begun the task of building a strong team and I do not concentrate on the MLM opportunity itself or at least not until I have taken care of the most important point – bringing quality people in. I now actually vet people when they approach me but that is the key, they approach me now not I them. It is a complete about face in business terms and I will never conduct an MLM business in the standard way again.
In my opinion, if one shows their downline true leadership and direction, then they will follow you and many others will be attracted to you because of this. If I come across someone who does not like my approach, then that is not a problem – they need me more than I need them so they can go and work with someone they like. I only want to work with people who are determined to succeed and to work smart in way that will benefit us both.
Thank you for reading my article and I hope that it has helped you to understand the secret recipe for success in an MLM business.

Network Marketing Prospecting Methods, Old School or New School – Which Are You Using?
Posted by George Dodge in MLM Saturday, 1 August 2009 16:20 No Comments
If you have even been in a Network Marketing business you are probably already familiar with the old school marketing techniques. You know the ones, make a list of all your family and friends, put up signs on all the telephone poles, flyers on bulletin boards, drop cards, door hangers, hotel meetings, cold calling, and the infamous 3 foot rule.
Unless you are one of the very few exceptions, my guess is that these techniques didn’t work for you. If they did, great, and congratulations. However, if they didn’t, you’re certainly not alone. No matter how hard you try, these techniques just do not work for most people in Network Marketing. That’s why there is such a high failure rate in the industry.
Each time I joined a new Network Marketing company in the past, I was introduced to these and similar techniques. While there were slight variations with each company or upline sponsor, the essence of each company’s marketing strategy involved some variation of these tactics. Basically, it all boiled down to calling and bugging everyone I could think of and every new lead to see if they might be interested in an opportunity to make some extra money
However, what they either didn’t tell me or at least played down, was the large amount of rejection I would have to face. Approaching a disinterested, untargeted market not only resulted in a large amount of out right rejection, it also created some amount of hostility.
Buy opportunity leads and call them was the response from my upline. “The more you call the more people you will sponsor, remember this is a numbers game,” he said. Sure you will get some rejection, but don’t let it bother you. Just consider each rejection as one more call closer to getting a “yes” response.
Yet hostile responses, hung up phones, and just plain more rejections were my reward for following this guidance. And I found that most of these supposedly opportunity seekers were nothing of the sort. Most has no idea how they had gotten on my list and had no interest in anything having to do with Network Marketing.
With nothing to show for all my efforts, I sunk into debt buying worthless opportunity leads.
I finally threw in the towel and got out of the industry for a while, defeated and licking my wounds. That is until I ran across a much easier and better method of sponsoring. The new method used the Internet and soon had people coming to me as opposed to me having to go hunting for them.
Using attraction marketing techniques, I soon learned the secrets of offering desirable and useful information to a targeted audience, build a relationship with them and get them to come to me asking to join my team.
So, if the old school MLM techniques are not working for you, I strongly suggest that you take a look at the new school attraction marketing techniques and don’t be held back by obsolete marketing methods, or at least marketing methods that aren’t working for you.
