Like most network marketers I get asked by many people to join their business. Before I say yes or no, I go to the internet and do some research. You will normally find both positive and negative reports and you do have to look at both. I was recently asked to join GDI and a bring my team along. So here is my Global Domains International Scam Review.
When you glance at different businesses I want to know if I can make serious income inside their structure. So I truly wanted to know if Global Domains International (GDI) is actually a scam or not. You should try to figure out someone’s real purpose when they’re either promoting GDI or if they are telling you about the “global domains international scam”.
Mark Nelson’s Global Domains International Scam Review
Global Domains International is just a little different from most network marketing opportunities. They don’t have products and they do not have services. They offer .WS domain names and web site hosting for $10 a month. GDI distributors promote domain registrations and get paid monthly on their personal sales. As in many network marketing companies they also get paid on the different levels on their teams. GDI happens to go to 5 levels and will pay active distributors passive residual income on their teams total sales.
So that sounds quite good. GDI has been around since early 2000 and it seems fairly popular for business opportunities on the internet. In researching this I kept coming back wondering if the average Joe Blow can make this work.
When I say the typical Joe Blow, I mean the average individual who probably doesn’t have any internet marketing expertise or training. How do they market .ws domain names and web site hosting accounts to their next door neighbor who also doesn’t have any internet marketing expertise.
How do these people sign anyone up and build a big enough group to produce any passive residual income? I don’t know if I can answer that one. Not I’m not saying it can’t be done but it just seemed like it would be difficult for these individuals to create income at this business.
When I first got started in network marketing or the MLM industry I was usually approached with the concept of making an additional $300 to $500 per month. And that really is what most individuals need. An extra $300 to $500 can be a mortgage payment or a automobile payment. People can use this to pay off debt or perhaps they just would like to make additional income to take some great vacations.

See GDI only pays one dollar per sale. So if we look at the low end ($300) of what a distributor wants to make. They have to at a minimum make 300 sales in a market that is dominated by major companies. For instance, GoDaddy sells .com, .net, etc. for only $10 a year and web internet hosting for $4.95 a month. That is pretty tough competition.
But let’s glance at this with you building a team and if everybody is successful. If you refer Global Domains International to 5 people and they come on board then you make $5 a month. If those 5 refer 5 individuals of their own then you would make $25 each month. If that group (25) refer 5 then you would make $125 every month. Now you’re at level four so if they (125 times 5) you’ll make $625 every month and the final payout is at level 5 (625 times 5) which comes to $3905 every month.
Man that sounds excellent. But that means for that to continually happen everybody has to refer 5 people every single month and everybody that came on board has to maintain their hosting account.
I do not know about you but my opinion is that an average human being won’t be able to do this. Starting out most of these people have no money for advertising so it will have to be do the job word of mouth. They do not have internet marketing skills so again they are going to need to work only with their warm market which is friends and family.
Now you know why quite a few people think that global domains international scam is correct. Even thought $10 per month isn’t a lot of money there is no way the average person is going to recruit enough distributors to make this a profitable business. “Google is DEAD”, says Jonathan Budd, a top leader in Online Marketing.
Well, you and I both know that Google isn’t dead and it’s never going any where. So what does he mean by this statement?
A brief walk through history about Google an how Network Marketing have combined will lead up to a better explanation of his statement so let’s begin…
Because Google is the #1 search engine, many business owners (and MLM’ers) use the internet for publishing information about their company and themselves. Working very hard to rank high with Google on the first page or two with their content. This is key for success in todays times.

The 3 Absolute “Must-Do’s” For Guaranteed Success in Your MLM Business
I join a MLM Company and this is the very next question I ask myself. The standard answer would include learning everything you possibly can about the company’s products, talk your upline’s ear off with questions about how they did it, and calling everyone you’ve ever known to inform them of this great opportunity that they can’t afford to pass up.
That mode of thinking never sat too well with me. Being a results-oriented person, I like to share results. My own results along with others’. I wasn’t able to discuss all of the money you could make because I hadn’t made any money yet. I hadn’t even tried the products yet so I definitely couldn’t tell anyone about how great they were.
I wasn’t able to inform people about how small of an investment they’d have to make of their time and finances because I was spending hundreds of dollars and lots of time getting the business up and running. What was I supposed to do? LIE. I don’t think so!
‘There’s gotta be a better way to do this’ kept running through my mind.
I believed there had to people to talk to about starting a business who were already interested in doing just that. I didn’t want to spend my time explaining to the the people around me that they should start a business and improve their financial situation. Because I wanted success in MLM I figured I’d go where people go to find out information – the world wide web. Others were doing it. Why shouldn’t I?
What I found was an absolute OVERLOAD of information about MLM in general – opportunities, how-to’s, what-not-to’s, etc. An ocean of information that would drown even the best internet swimmer.
I’ve realized 3 Things every multilevel marketer must do in order to be successful in MLM.
1. Master the FUNDAMENTALS.
There are fundamentals for any business with some specifics for an MLM business. Every business needs to have a marketing system with planned, specific strategies. There are fundamentals for the strategies you choose. Discover those and master them before adding more. 2. Stay FOCUSED.
Assuming that you’ve done your due diligence before choosing your MLM business, you should stick with your choice. Know that it takes at least 1 year of consistent effort to fully see the results of your labor. There are so many opportunities available, all promising overnight riches.
Unless you have a really good reason to leave your current opportunity then you should stick with what you started with and make it work. When you choose a strategy to implement for marketing, stick with that and work it to the fullest. Once you’ve mastered that then diversify.
3. Be FINANCIAL. Know that every business requires cash flow. There are many free and low cost services and products on the net. Be sure to search for those if you have a limited budget. Know that on the internet someone will charge you for virtually everything. Many services/products have a fee associated with them and are well worth their asking price. You must determine what you’re willing to and can afford to pay for these items.
If you remember these 3 F’s, your success in MLM is almost guaranteed. Consistency and diligence are required in any business. Most of us fail because we give up too quickly.
And remember above all else to have FUN. You don’t want your business building to feel like work. Otherwise, you could just get a job.
