Before the Internet appeared on the scene a couple of years ago, we already had a lot of MLM companies around. Ever since the arrival of the Internet, the number of these companies have indeed increased astronomically and right now there are so many that a novice finds it hard to make an informed choice.
Before choosing a network marketing company, you should ascertain that they indeed have a product or service to sell. If there is no product (or service) involved, the company is operating an illegal pyramid scheme and you are bound to burn your fingers and lose your money.
Even if they are selling a legitimate product/service, but this is priced far above its realistic market value, you should think twice before getting involved. With a good MLM company members will in the long run profit because people are actually using the products and finding them good value for money.
The better the product is therefore, and the better value for money it offers, the more likely are your chances of building a successful network. The fact of the matter is that in the long run you will only make money from your network business if people keep on buying the products involved.
While training new members is certainly a good thing, the company should not make the bulk of its money from selling ‘training material’. You should be very cautious of a company that expects you to buy large quantities of books, video material or training manuals right from the start.
It is a sad reality that there are in fact ‘network marketing’ companies that are making fortunes from selling training material to new members, which actually form the bulk of their income. They are not serious about marketing their ‘real’ products; they make enough money from newbies this way.
Your final choice should involve a company that doesn’t have a large registration fee. Their products should be of such a high quality and priced so reasonably that people will buy them without having to become members. They should also provide you with free initial training so you can start selling products and recruiting new members immediately.
Be wary of any network marketing company that expects you to purchase large quantities of ‘inventory’ when you become a member. Buying a sales kit with sample products is fine and will help you to make sales. Being stuck with a garage full of stock which you find unable to sell, is totally a different scenario.
Don’t sign up with a network marketing company before you have tested at least some of their products. Ask yourself whether you would’ve bought them based purely on a value-for-money basis. If you wouldn’t have, chances are nobody else would.
There are a vast number of MLM companies to choose from. Don’t let peer pressure guide your decision. By all means, if some of your friends are making a lot of money with a particular company, then investigate the opportunity. But try to keep a clear head about this and make your decision based on facts.

There is a lot of attention going to Donald Trump, and his new Trump Network network marketing company. A quick internets search shows quite a lot of information about the Trump Network. Scam sites are noticeably silent about the new company,though, which is a good thing.

Donald Trump is a guy who seems to have a knack for stirring up trouble. He seems to take a lot of flack for the way he acts on “The Apprentice”, and he takes a lot of verbal abuse for the way he does his real estate deals. Not surprisingly, he is taking some heat for buying MLM company Ideal Health. Some of the heat he has brought on himself because of past comments about MLMs.
When Johnny Carson was the host of The Tonight Show, Donald Trump openly mocked MLM giant Amway. Now he has apparently changed his tune, and is heading up his own MLM. People are unsure now about the Trump Network. Scam is too strong a word to use in this case. I should say, some are viewing this move with more than a little scepticism.
The Trump Network is going to focus on two major segments of the population, the baby boomers and the overweight. They are selling a vitamin supplement, which seems like old news. They have a new twist to their product, though. You take a home test to determine what nutrients your body requires. Then you order a month’s worth of a custom made supplement. Your order is put into auto ship and your credit card is billed automatically every month when your order is shipped.
The other major product they are selling is a weight loss product. I know what you’re thinking. Is there a Trump Network scam at work on the overweight? I don’t know, because I’ve never heard of a diet program quite like this. You get one meal and 5 snacks a day, again, available on auto ship for your convenience. They say this is because recent research has shown many small meals during the day are superior to tree large meals.
Don’t forget that The Trump Network is a multi level marketing company. Donald Trump stands to make a lot of money if his company takes off. Many people think it is only the people at the top that get rich with network marketing companies like this. So when people hear this they automatically think there is Trump Network scam behavior afoot.
In all honesty, plenty of people make money with MLM. Unfortunately, most of them are not making full time income kind of money. Mostly, this is the fault of the education they get from the company. There is still a lot of money to be made by people who know marketing.
If a person can make $50 a month with MLM, then they can make $5,000 a month. You just need the right education. So if you ask me, “Is Trump Network a scam?” I will truthfully say no. If you ask me, “Do I need to learn marketing from an outside source?” I will shout, yes! Learn all the hundreds of ways you can make money with the Trump Network, and you will never be one who calls theTrump Network a scam.
