Fast Track To Success! Can You Do It In MLM?

You hear the stories all the time… there is a new guy in an MLM that signs up 60-80, or even 100 new reps right out of the gate and suddenly… a superstar is born!
Is this even for real?
Now it does happen, there are people out there that are just incredibly gifted and are right at home in the industry. They are able to attract all the right contacts on a daily basis and sign them up right and left. This does not happen often!
Most that are able to pull off these kind of recruiting numbers, have one or two very important scenarios going for them.
One, they already have seen great success in a different mlm company and for a myriad of different reasons, all of his down-line is ready to leave that business so he just gets them all on a call and presto!
Or, more often they have taken the time to set up a lead generation system that attracts high quality prospects by the hundreds each and every month. Either way, their new business is getting huge exposure in a short amount of time.
The more common approaches to building a Network Marketing business just do not ever allow for this much exposure.
Although the method of talking to friends and family and working your \”Center of Influence\” can provide a good starting place for most newbies, its long-term viability is shaky at best. Unless a person has some immediate success, their circle becomes more and more skeptical and you find yourself a member of the infamous NFL club… No Friends Left.
Then you have the other options typically offered by uplines… paying hard earned money on leads. Real-time leads, email leads, opt-in and double opt-in, co-ops etc. etc. If you have some expertise and a whole lot of time on your hands this can be somewhat effective. But can your team members do it as well?
So whats the solution? If you want to do what the people making those huge six and seven figure checks are doing online today then you need to create or use an online lead generation system that you are in control of. This is sometimes referred to as a \”funded proposal\” or sales funnel system.
The concept goes like this… you have a system where your prospects get training and access to techniques and tools that will benefit them as they \”flow\” through this funnel. This will help them in their current business or one in the future and save them time and money.
This provides value to them (if done right) and if they would like to take advantage of some of the tools, training etc that you have exposed them to, then you make a small commission on what they need to set-up their own system. If your \”funnel\” system provides enough value and the training is professional then you will have plenty of people coming through that will possibly even want to take a look at your primary business to see what you are up to. If your primary business is attractive to them they will at least look.
Soon you are then leveraging the power of the net! Once up and running your primary business is getting huge exposure, up to 60 even 100 looks per day and you are providing a service to others while enjoying many different income streams.
That is how Mlm success is done on the Internet today!
There are systems you may have seen on the Internet that will save you a ton of time and money and unless you are very tech savvy, this option is the way to go.
Over the last 6 or 7 years I have literally spent thousands using, tweaking, and investigating the different systems out there. What I can tell you is, as you do your research make sure that any system you are considering has some basic elements that will insure your success.
Most importantly your new people must be able to plug in and customize the system for themselves. You also want everybody to own and be in control of the auto-responders within, so that no one can market to another members prospects. Oh, it happens.
Also, it has to be affordable and have very professional training that provides a short \”learning curve\” for the average user. Be wary if the product is in a huge manual and there is no online video training or support. And lastly you must have tracking capabilities built in so that you know where your advertising is most effective.
There is no doubt that teams with these key factors in place experience much greater retention rates and grow exponentially. Generating your own exclusive leads will boost your recruiting and your teams as well.
So I guess the question becomes… Do you want to grow fast or slow?

MLM – If Its So Good, How Come The Majority Fail? – Here Is Why!

Many have done it – been influenced by the enthusiasm of others and decided to join an MLM opportunity, only to find pain and anguish down the line. They drag names and contacts out of their address books and after some weeks there is no one left around who will speak to them.
After a few months, I found that no-one left in my address book were returning my calls and the ones who had joined were not doing much. So, things petered out and after a year I could not even remember what the whole thing was about.
So, I put the experience down to one of the lessons in life – and the main lesson was ‘MLM does not work’. After a time my friends came back after they realised that the madness that had infected me had passed and I was now the normal Alan again.
Does this sound familiar to you? I know that I am not the only one to go through this experience. It seems that over 96% of all MLM newbies have a very similar experience.
Then, I became involved in a standard non MLM business and after some time of trying this – I had some success and though not metioric, I did learn some things. The most valuable lesson was, my perspective had changed. When I got a second opportunity to try MLM again, this time I found myself willing and able to think outside of the box and it is this that made the difference.
I studied MLM and those that had been successful and those that had not and the results that I found were quite remarkable, to me at least.
I asked myself, what is the difference in approach to the way most people who enter MLM attack their business compared with the way a successful business person in a non MLM business attacks theirs.
I discovered that standard business people look at business in a different way to that of MLM newbies. The latter do largely what I did but the real 1% of MLM business people who became millionaires on the back of it look at matters differently. The top 1% invest in themselves, their business and use professionals such as accountants etc to do the things that they cannot. Of these key areas, the main one here is marketing or how and where they are going to find new customers.
I then looked at MLM newbies – who usually have an employees mindset – they have little knowledge of the above areas of business and so they invest in the wrong things. Some buy tons of product believing that their business is about selling as much of it as possible.
This brings me on to the next point that I would like to make – concentrating on the product. I found by studying how successful MLM business people worked, that this is the number one mistake made by MLM newbies. They get seduced into how good the vitamin supplement or brass cleaner is and they fail to realise where their key earnings potential is.
Now at this point I was feeling a bit heady – I could tell that I was onto something now.
So, here is the MLM newbie, he has worked hard by contacting all of those people they know – some have joined and others are hiding behind the couch (sound familiar ?). This persons downline is stuffed with people who have done the same and whilst this will generate a small income, it does not generate enough to even remain qualified as an agent yourself.
The only thing that can be done is to go out and bore some people who you have not met yet – buy some leads. So more money out and our MLM newbie slogs away trying to convert a whole pile of people – long hard work and maybe 2% of the list joins the newbie. The end result, you just have more people just like the others who are going no-where.
When I studied how the top 1% work, I realised that they do it much differently. They invest into their business by obtaining the right information. Most of that data costs money because it is valuable and it has usually been produced by the millionaires who were in this 1%.
So, I took this action by investing in my own knowledge in this area which I considered was necessary for my success. I downloaded articles, books, reports and watched DVDs which were relevant to my subject and after a while I realized that I had found the seam of gold – this I was sure was what I needed.
After much study I began to understand that the best way to approach MLM was to recruit other good MLM people who were facing the same dilemma as me. These people were who I wanted to have in my own downline – but one problem – they already had an MLM opportunity of their own so how was I going to achieve this ? – I asked myself.
Thankfully, this aspect was covered in the material that I had obtained and it only cost me a tiny amount (less than $50). It was clear to me, that I had to provide leadership and direction for my new team if I was going to operate in this way. I realised that if I were to offer new agents a clear and defined play as to how they could run their business and be successful, they would want to join me and I would become the ‘hunted’ instead of the ‘hunter’.
That is the basis of my new discovery in a nutshell, anyone who wants to become a successful MLM entrepreneur needs to think differently. If you think the way you always have, you will get the results you have always got, so you have to do something different. The person that I had chosen to be the subject of my study was one of the most successful MLM business person on the planet. This man had used the same new principles that I had just heard about to build one of the most successful MLM downlines in history.
I have now begun the task of building a strong team and I do not concentrate on the MLM opportunity itself or at least not until I have taken care of the most important point – bringing quality people in. I now actually vet people when they approach me but that is the key, they approach me now not I them. It is a complete about face in business terms and I will never conduct an MLM business in the standard way again.
In my opinion, if one shows their downline true leadership and direction, then they will follow you and many others will be attracted to you because of this. If I come across someone who does not like my approach, then that is not a problem – they need me more than I need them so they can go and work with someone they like. I only want to work with people who are determined to succeed and to work smart in way that will benefit us both.
