Can it Be Focused on Business

July 30th, 2009

Twitter seems to be growing in popularity every day. Most people have heard of twitter either on the news or sports channel or even in print media. It’s quite easy to build a large network of followers on twitter in a very short period of time that can include friends, associates, business partners, or even people that might be potential customers to your brick-and-mortar business. Twitter seems to be taking the social networking section of the Internet by storm.

When you use twitter you create your own personal brand and you can possibly dominate the niche you are focusing on. Let me explain. You have 140 characters to get your message across. This means a fast paced conversation. This is really a good thing because it doesn’t allow anyone to monopolize one conversation for a very long time. It also makes for a very fast conversation that can be exciting and interesting.

This is different than a webpage or weblog, or even an e-mail in that the 140 character limit allows you to focus your message so that your reader understands what your niche is all about. You can also include links in your 140 character limit message, these links can go to other webpages, blogs, videos, or audio messages. Webpages and blogs are more about just giving out information so even the best blog updates itself once or twice a day. This is Web 1.0. However the social networking sites are updated every few seconds. This is Web 2.0.

There are also many other twitter applications that are third party in nature that will help twitter to be a more effective tool for your business use. If your friends, and other acquaintances, or even relatives use twitter you might want to invite them to follow you.

Other applications include things to show pictures and send video messages with. And that’s only listing the applications that are directly related to the message in twitter. There are other applications that allow you to find like-minded twitter users easier.

One suggestion I have is that when you promote your business you should follow other experts in the field that you are interested. You should become aware of who the power users out because if they are in your field and experts in your field and others are following them it may be beneficial for you to follow them so that eventually their followers may be interested in what you are providing.

Once they follow you back, you should take the time if you can send them a message saying thank you. Another trick is to un follow any of those people that have not followed you back within three days. This will keep the total number of people that you are following to a minimum.

The twitter community relies on each others treating each twitter with respect. Because it is so easy to un-follow is a very low tolerance for bad behavior. If someone doesn’t like how you’re acting or what you’re writing they will simply stop following you.

Building A Good Twitter Relationship

July 30th, 2009

Building a good relationship with your followers will ensure that you do not have a hard time selling your product or business. Make sure that you don’t have to lure your followers, with sales promotions, or else you lose them very quickly. Instead of that lame approach use articles with useful information, every now and then give them the sales pitch. They will appreciate this more because the social networking community is different in the ways that they’ll accept being sold to.

If you’re using twitter, and you want more traffic for your business site or for your web blog. It is most likely because you understand that getting more traffic means getting more sales. There’s several ways to get more sales with twitter, the first thing you need to do is spread the word that you’re on twitter. You can do this in several ways, if you’re an online marketer most likely you have an e-mail list to work from. It might be a good idea to send a notice to your e-mail followers that you’re on twitter along with your twitter URL. The twitter URL is the same as going to twitter which is twitter.com with a slash along with your username.

Some users use automatic posting, which allows them to post twitter many times during the day even when they are not signed on. This twitter robot will post messages as directed by you. This can be from an RSS feed, messages that you made in advance, or other forms of information such as directly from your blog.

One of your first missions when you get onto twitter should be defined followers. You should try to get to know through your twitter messages as many people as you can. It is not uncommon to have over 1000 or even 10,000 followers. I believe the record is just over 1 million followers. There were many times when the twitter network was down because there were so many people sending messages.

Many twitter users use the network on twitter for Internet marketing. You can also build customer to seller relationships through twitter. Let’s say that you own a certain business. You can use the site to access the market that your business is in, then develop as many followers as possible, and communicate specials and offerings to those followers on a regular basis.

You can use the tool called twit pic to upload pictures to your profile. It’s a good idea to try to upload as many pictures as you can, but make sure you choose the pictures well. Your pictures will tell a lot about you and tipoff potential followers to whether you are serious about using twitter. Through your pictures and your profile your users can get to know you, and your interests. It’s up to you to use twitter to the fullest and finest way possible. There are endless possibilities and your imagination is the only thing that limits you.

Social Network Marketing

Marketing on Social networks

Marketing on Social networks

Social Network Marketing to most people simply sounds like an inappropriate thing to do. We are of the opinion that in its current pushy format, it is most assuredly inappropriately being done by most.

The early forms of social networking basically involved tricks where one calls up one’s sister, mom or dad and in a beguiling manner one would tell them that you really need help with making a decision. They would of course offer to help you right there and then on the phone.

But you would have been warned about that, and in some form or fashion you defer the immediate help and tell them that you somehow inexplicably can’t really explain it on the phone but if they next time they are in your area, if they would be so kind to critically evaluate this thing for you while someone smarter explains it.

The hook here being – “You are wanting/requiring their superior decision making process to examine this new opportunity for you…”

Two dozen mlm companies have used this approach in the past and two dozen or more will use it in the future. At its basic core – this was the earliest form of social network marketing.

Today, however the landscape has changed. Everyone and their lost brother now knows that social networks generally refers to myspace, facebook, bebo, orkut and others like them.

What has changed is that within the past 12 months there has been a growing awareness that the 2-300 Million plus users in these networks buy foods, materials, spend on entertainment etc., just like those not in the networks. This growing awareness has prompted any number of well armed groups to attempt to commercially crack open this high net worth, generally well educated consumer group.

The early efforts have been awkward and clumsy with many reporting after having spent large amounts of money that it just couldn’t be done due to the non-commercial orientation of those in the social networks.

I know this not to be true, since I pulled half million from facebook last year and I know of others who claim to have done even more.

Come on back and read more on how social network marketing can be done successfully.
