The Advantage Of Making Use Of Twitter For Online Businessmen

October 9th, 2010

Hundreds of people from all over the world are joining twitter every day. The membership is growing by the hours and is one of the most popular social networking sites preferred by people for communication and interaction.

Twitter does not charge any fee to its members either for membership or any other service they provide on the website. You will be able to tweet messages to your family and friends wherever they are and in turn receive instant messages from them too.

The network works like an exchange where once you have send a message in the network to others say your family and friends, they in turn respond to or broadcast messages to everyone else known and the chain keeps growing. This is how messages about the latest events happening around the world, or some gossip about celebrities spreads like wild fire in a matter of minutes across the world.

Marketing companies use twitter and similar social networking sites to run sales campaigns and promote their products and services. They advertise on these sites and when you click on the advertisement you get directed to the company’s website and this is how traffic is driven to the particular website.

If you wish to use this site as a marketing tool, then you can design suitable attractive and catchy advertisements that prompt visitors to click on them and visit your site. Therefore your advertisements should be attractive and ignite a sense of curiosity in the minds of the reader. Banners and online promotions can help generate traffic through the networking sites into your own website.

When you have built up sufficient traffic into you own website through the networking site, then you can in turn offer links to other affiliate sites where by on clicking visitors are directed to the other sites and you will get paid for every such visit.

This way twitter can be used by Internet marketing companies to generate traffic to their own websites.

Yes it might take a while for you to find people who are interested in your website. But once you have gained acceptance and a steady traffic starts flowing in, you will have to work towards keeping their interest alive, for these are the people who will end up buying your products online and grow your business.

Kim Kardashian Success Using Twitter

October 7th, 2010

A Case for Twitter is made through this Twitter Mashable story about Kim Kardashian’s use of Twitter. The article also discusses the difference between influence and popularity using Twitter. This caught my attention!

Social media and marketing play a huge role in multimedia marketing. Twitter has recently been questioned for its usefulness in MLM efforts. She is the only celeb to have more referrals to her site via Twitter, almost equal to her connections via Google!

Demonstrated by the facts in the Twitter Mashable article, Kim’s site statistics illustrate attraction marketing techniques in action. Kim uses Twitter to tell everyone about something interesting she is doing. She adds links to events, her site, or the topic’s site. Kim tweets things she is doing using fashion, her benefit interests, and personal interest items. Kim’s success is seen in her personable presentation of her doings, making her likeable. I think Kim Kardashian is an attraction marketing leader, and is making a case for Twitter as a viable social medium. Her stats prove it!

Kim is a success using Twitter for her social media networking! With 135 characters, she doesn’t hawk products she uses or benefits. She uses Twitter to give value about her interests. It is hard to go from selling commercial products to giving value and Kim Kardashian is a role model on how to do this. Kim uses the links to connect to detailed information. She has branded herself and created her own following using the 135 characters in Twitter!

Twitter is a great social medium. My friend, Tim Jackson with the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) is another case for Twitter. Tim used Twitter and Facebook to show the new cars at the 2010 Paris Auto Show. Last month, Tim used Twitter and Facebook again, sharing a baseball game in Tokyo! Tim’s terrific posts make me aware of CADA and what they, too have to offer.

I’ve looked through LinkedIn and Facebook quite a bit. Lots of MLMs using old fashioned techniques which turn people off! They aren’t branding themselves well because I am seeing only their products, not the interesting person I’m socializing and befriending on these networks. People gotta like you before you can sell them something! You’ll get more leads and more sales if people like you! You sell you, not your products. My proofs?! Kim Kardashian and Tim Jackson!
