Internet Marketing-10 Precautions For The Beginner

If you are just starting out in the world of internet marketing you must remain alert and focused at all times. Listed are 10 unspoken rules you should review and use to your advantage.

1. The first advantage of having a home based business is that you are open rain or shine and 24/7. You are able to work when you want for as long as you want. When you are able to get your business fine-tuned you can utilize software that will set your business on auto-pilot. This will afford you that coveted time to spend with your family and enjoy various leisure activities as well. There is no such thing as a “Get-Rich-Quick” scheme. It takes time, dedication and commitment to begin building an online business. If you build your business correctly, you will be rewarded with residual income that can last for years. Creating a firm foundation is key to a successful business whether it’s online or offline.

2. Don’t think money, think longevity when it comes to setting up your own online home business. You don’t want to spend needless hours setting up a ramshackle foundation of sorts just have it crumble in your face in a few months. If you’re like most of us and want to let the “day job” go then you need to do this right. Keep your mind focused in the right direction, set time aside to learn and do this on a consistent basis. If you can devote one hour per day to learning a new internet skill, it will help you immensely. Make spare time on a weekend to get through whatever learning curve you may be experiencing. It will be worth it in the long run when you are able to spend quality time with friends and family.

3. NEVER…get involved in ‘get paid to read email’ sites–they are scams and you won’t earn a penny. They won’t even answer your emails of complaint! MLM too, or in fact any website telling you that your money will be doubled or tripled in a matter of days, or you will become rich over night, are scams. Avoid them!! It’s not difficult to find bona fide marketers on the Internet. Look for offline contact points. An address or telephone number is a good sign they are genuine. Another good test is to send them an email before you sign up to see how efficiently they reply. Avoid the ‘Get-Rich-Quick’ schemes–they don’t work!

4. Imagine you discovered a method of earning huge amounts of money on the Internet. Would you then offer to tell everyone about your ‘secret formula’? I don’t think so! You will no doubt come across those who will try to convince you they have found such a recipe, and no doubt offer to share it with you. Believe me it will cost you, not just financially but in wasted time too. Always shy away when you see the word ‘Secrets’, or see boasts of huge income!

5. Similarly, ask yourself this…would a guy who says he’s earning several million dollars a year bother to write and market an ebook describing how he did it? I think not! Go with your first instincts, as they are usually quite accurate! Starting a business is going to take some groundwork, do that work now and reap the benefits later.

6. Don’t pay too much attention to images of earnings checks or bank statements purportedly demonstrating how much the account holder has earned. It is a simple task to create whatever documents you want with a little creativity. The same goes for letters of recommendation or testimonials. Anyone can write them or get their colleagues to do them a favor! They may con some of the people some of the time, but don’t let it be you!

7. Think positive and stay focused at all times. If you were to take a close look at all the successful Internet marketers who have made a great deal of money from their endeavours, you would find they have one thing in common! Dedication!! They are prepared to work long and hard to achieve their goals. They do not lose heart if everything doesn’t come together today, and they are rarely influenced by the ‘quick buck’. I cannot stress this point often enough to you.

8. Let’s talk organization. Organization is not an end to itself, but rather a means to get you where you want to go. Being organized allows you to achieve your goals through skillful management of time, paper and people. Specific organizational methods will largely be tailored to each individual and their needs. Learn the various principles and techniques to better organize your business and life. It will streamline your workload and help you stay on top of your daily activities..

9. “Netiquette” stands for “Internet Etiquette”, and refers to the set of practices created over the years to make the Internet experience pleasant for everyone. Like other forms of etiquette, netiquette is primarily concerned with matters of courtesy in communications. Some basics are, help the newcomer; be brief, always include your email address, etc.

10. Avoid leaving large amounts of funding in any online marketing or promotion website! Most websites have a strict policy on spamming and if you are ever accused (rightly or wrongly) of sending unsolicited emails, you are likely to have your account closed, which could result in you losing your current funding too!

Although this seems like a set of rules for surfing the web, it is more like a guideline for you to use while active on the internet. I hope these 10 tips will serve to make your internet marketing experience enjoyable, prosperous and profitable!

Everything You Need To Know About Online Business Opportunities

There are a lot of Online Business Opportunities. People are talking about how they need a job. A person can look on the internet and find lots of opportunities.

When online you will see, marketing jobs, writing skills jobs, retail sales, underwriting, medical transcriber, nursing, medical receptionist and it just keeps going. There are a lot of choices but are they any good?

After signing up for internet businesses, and getting lots of responses, it makes you question why everyone is not working. There appears to be a large number of businesses who are hiring, for a small fee. We must be careful what we sign up for.

To get you interested many companies tell you things like, no jobs skills are needed. You can have all the money you need, in a short period of time. If it is a sales job, the computer will do it all. Classes are not necessary because the computer is smarter than we are. A person can just sleep the night away and when you get up, the money will be there.

They want you to think online work must be great and anyone can do it. All you need is a computer and internet access. It is amazing that so many people are having a hard time with their finances today.

A person has to be very careful of all the scams. A very common one says, after a few weeks, the world will be available to you. You will get so much money that one can fly off to Hawaii, Italy, Alaska, wherever you want to go. Another way to get your attention is the ads that say, how about buying that big screen television, new kitchen, or totally remodel your house? They want you to think the whole world will open up to you, when money is available.

The information these companies want is only a few clicks away. Lots of good things are on the computer, but lots of bad things exist there too. Let us face it, people take advantage of good people, and when they do it is called a scam. Beware of free business sign-ups. Beware there is always a small shipping charge which is how they get your credit card number, thus using it later.

These companies are good at collecting your money on a monthly basis. Sign-up and try the new business for ten days. If not satisfied the money is refunded. By that time, they have already charged your account. It is on a recurring monthly basis. A month notice is needed to stop the transaction, so by the time you stop it, they have two month’s of your money.

The lesson to be learned here is to not trust any business. Go to Google and type in the company name and search for scams. It is surprising how many there are. Also read everything before you agree and give your credit card information. There is always this little fine print that talks about a monthly fee that never gets noticed and it starts getting charged monthly to your account. After complaining it gets pointed out to you on the web site that is so small that you can hardly read it. It is also very difficult to stop this fee. So, just do research before using a credit card.
