* Keyword Research

All of the SEO tutorials, videos or text, will almost always certainly tell you about how important keyword research is, and that is correct. Keyword research is one of the most important aspects in SEO. You’re walking in a blind alley if you haven’t planned out your keywords well. The idea behind keyword research is to target exactly what words or phrases you would like to rank for. You can then build your SEO efforts around these keywords later on.

Google gets the biggest share of traffic in all of the search engines. It also provides a free Keyword Tool that people can use to get some more information about the number of searches per keywords. Their data is very important for someone who’s looking into SEO.

* SEO Optimized Articles

Writing web content is also a tool for effective SEO. Before, people just write articles for the sake of discussing topics, news, blogs, etc. But now, article are being written strategically and precisely to be also useful for SEO. Search engines read your content and decide what topic is it relevant to. The higher relevance your content is to your keywords, the higher you spot will be on the search engine results for your chosen niche. SEO experts say that you can tell the search engine about what you’re trying to rank for by including your keyword once in every 100 words of content. It’s about 5-6% keyword density. More and more people are applying this, and so far, it it’s working great for SEO.

* Optimizing You Webpage

As mentioned in the article section that search engines can recognize what topics would you want to rank for better, through keyword usage. This means that you can add your keywords on you site’s structure to enhance your search engine ranking. Make sure you put your keywords all through the webpage, the title, the description, the navigation bars, the footer and the content. Many SEO experts however, say that you need to do this sparingly. Too much “keyword-stuffing”, or uselessly repeating keywords all throughout your website, can get your site sidelined by Google. It means that you won’t show up on the search engine results until you fix the problem, and it takes months to get back. So make sure you use your keywords all throughout your website, but use it in a way that it looks natural.

* Send copies of your articles all over the net

Add you website’s link to your articles and then submit these to article directories. Chances are, people will bump into your articles and visit your site. Also, you can create press releases and publish these to news publishing websites all throughout the net. The popular your website gets, the more people will visit it, and at the same time the search engines will rank you better. Search engines love popular websites. Popular in the search engine language, means that there are many other sites containing your website’s link. That’s the main purpose of article and press release submissions.

* Bookmark your website

You can bookmark your website to get people’s attention. It’s a form of advertisement which could significantly get more traffic to you site. The search engines also love social bookmarking websites, so post your link in there. If your website gets bookmarked often by different people, it will help a lot to push you search engine ranking.

If you’re serious about getting more people to your website, then learn SEO. In addition, apply the tips mentioned here and your website will surely get more attention from both the internet users and the search engines.

After you launch your site, you will want to start watching your traffic. Who are your visitors and how many hit your site each day, what pages are the most popular, from where is the traffic coming? All of these questions and more can be answered by using a good statistical program.

Many popular hosting companies provide free statistical packages such as Webalizer or AWSTATS. Let me say it again, each and every web page should be optimized separately and have a unique title, keywords, and description meta tags.
