If you are into marketing on the Internet, you will be marketing a website of one kind or another. Maybe you own the URL of that web site or youre promoting a generic link which contains your affiliate code.

If you are into marketing on the Internet, you will be marketing a website of one kind or another. Maybe you own the URL of that web site or youre promoting a generic link which contains your affiliate code.

It doesn’t matter which scheme you operate, the problem is the same -how do you get enough interested visitors to your site, so that, if they want your product and have the money, they will have a chance to buy it, before they get bored and click away.

This is the largest common problem that every single Internet marketer has, and it is called attracting targeted traffic, getting relevant visitors or something similar. All the phrases come to the same thing ultimately. If no one sees your product they cannot buy it or if your visitors are mainly young people interested in tennis, it is no good trying to sell them bird cages.

So, obviously you need as many visitors to your website, who are interested in your product, as you can handle. This means that you need to be highly ranked in the search engines so that people can find your site. The biggest and most often-used search engine is Google. So, how do you get your site ranked highly in Google?

There are thousands of books on this subject, but without exception, the serious ones come to the same conclusion, unless they were written by self-interested safe-list or traffic exchange owners. And that conclusion is that you need links to your site.

Very few people will honestly admit to knowing how Google ranks sites, but most people agree that the more sites linking to your site the better. This has lead some webmasters to try exchanging links with each other. It sounds an easy way to get links but Google can recognize reciprocal links. The best links are one-way links, because it demonstrates that someone values your site enough to want to be associated with it. These are called back links.

So, the real problem comes down to how to get enough back links to your site to persuade Google (and the other search engines) that you run such an important site that they should rank it highly for your chosen keywords, which should be relevant to the content of your website. How do you do that?

There are many strategies you can employ such as traffic exchanges, safelists, FFAs, forums and writing articles, but to be blunt, the first three of these are a total waste of time. I used to own a safelist and have wasted thousands of hours on traffic exchanges, all for nothing. Posting to forums can be worthwhile, but then ONLY if the link on your post is a follow link. If it is not, it doesnt do any good and most are no follow links. This means that you have to do some research to find the forums where it is worth you posting to (more on this later). That leaves writing articles as the ONLY sure way to get rock-solid back-links to your site based on relevant keywords.

So, you write an article on a subject relevant to your site stuffed (but not over-stuffed) with relevant keywords but then what do you do? Thats easy! You search Google for article directories, lists and blogs; sign up to a couple of dozen of the relevant ones or in the related categories and post your article to them.

And that is the definitive method of getting the sort of links you need to get your site highly ranked, so that people can find you and have a chance to buy what you are selling. The only catch is that Google will expect to see new links appearing on the Internet on a regular basis, which means writing and posting time after time after time after time ad infinitum. Or does it?

Yes, it does, unfortunately. But the process can be automated and automation is the key to online marketing success. Set up a proven, successful process and let it run ” day and night: all day and all night! I use a system that helps turn an article into thousands of variations and posts them to thousands of search engines, directories, lists and websites, creating literally thousands of back-links!

But don’t think that these variations are just spun! (The industry standard way of creating article variations is to use spinning software to substitute synonyms and pseudo-synonyms eg crimson for scarlet in a random way. This works to a certain degree but can produce pure gibberish too sometimes – who would recognize Crimson O’Hara?). The system I use does not employ this method, but still produces thousands or variants all written by human hand. Then it sends them out to article directories and blogs etc.. Thousands of them. In fact today, there are over 11,000 sites on their list and the list is kept fresh on a monthly basis. Most similar lists are not well maintained because it is so time-consuming to do. Therefore, many contain lots of dead, useless links.

This system will take your article, create thousands of variations and then post them to thousands of sites. All with your sites link in the by-line, which you can also vary. But not only that! It only posts your article to sites that want sites like yours (based on your chosen keywords) and posts according to a schedule chosen by you: ie 10, 20, 50, 100, 1,000 posts a day, starting on any future date you may choose! So you could write say, three articles and have the first one go out starting the next day at 150 a day; the second one starting after seven days at 150 sites a day; and the third starting after two weeks at a rate of 75 sites a day.

That would give your site at least 3,000 links in a month or 100 a day ” all for 2-3 hours work! If you wrote one article a day (an hours work) and it got posted to only 1,000 relevant sites, you would have 30,000 relevant links in a month. And that does not include the bloggers, ezine publishers and webmasters who paste your article into their publication with your link. You could easily end up with 40-50k links. But it doesnt even stop there, because the article will be live for years and years, quietly beavering away at getting you noticed by the search engines and the people searching them. How many sales could that get you?

If you would like to see an example of this systems output, you are reading one ” this article and if you would like to find out how you can do the same, just follow the link in my by-line attached to it.

If you haven't already put your article submission on autopilot, it can only be for one of three reasons:

If you haven’t already put your article submission on autopilot, it can only be for one of three reasons:

1. You simply already have enough free traffic to your website,

2. You have not read my previous articles, or

3. You still haven’t realized how powerful and incredibly valuable this system is. that is, how much this will dramatically increase your sales

If you fall into category 1, then please move on from this article, it doesn’t apply to you.

Otherwise please take a moment to read this article carefully, as it really could make the difference between success and failure to your online business this year. You see, people love to make things complicated, but making money online is actually really simple. Whether you are selling your own product, promoting affiliate links, or making money from Adsense or “click flipping”, it all boils down to just two things:

Conversion and Traffic.

Conversion comes first. You need to have an offer that people want. That “offer” might be a product, or it might be an enticing advert (e.g. Google Adsense) that people want to click on. And you need some kind of presentation (such as a sales letter) that encourages them to take the action that you want them to take (eg buy the product or click on the advert).

In many ways this is the easiest part. Most people can put together a half decent website or sales letter that will make at least some money from their visitors.

But then, of course, you need visitors. Busfuls of them. The more people that you can get to come to your site, the more money you will make; especially if those visitors re highly targeted. But, given the number of websites online: all competing for the same visitors, just how do you get more visitors to your site?

Well, there are just three ways that visitors come to your site:

1. Visitors type your address straight into their browser. That results from some sort of off-line promotion: it may be your business card, a radio advert, an article in a magazine or a conversation with a friend.

2. People click on a link. It may be in an email they received (eg from a friend or from an ezine they subscribed to) or it may be on another website they have visited.

3. Or they do a search in the search engines, see your site in the listings, and click to visit you.

That is it. There is no other way for them to get to your site.

So, if we know that, how do we get more traffic? Easy:

1. Promote your Internet presence in all your offline promotional materials.

2. Get lots of people to put links to you on their website, and lots of people to send out emails with your links in them.

3. Get a top position in the search engines.

Mmm.., it sounds simple, but maybe it is not so easy. Just how do you achieve steps 2 and 3 without spending loads of cash or getting banned by the search engines?

To understand this, we need to understand how the search engines work. Again, it is much simpler than people make out.

All search engines want lots of people to use them. In order to achieve that, they try to deliver relevant and up-to-date content to people who do a search on them. But how do they determine what is relevant to the search?

There are only two ways that they can achieve that:

1. They scan your website and, using very sophisticated algorithms, they work out what the subject matter of your website is. The also look at how new or old it is, how recently it has been updated and so on. These are all known as on-page or on-site factors. You have direct control over many of these factors when you set up your site.

2. They look at what other people write about your website. In doing so, they look at two factors: how many people have links to your site (and what those links say) and also how important is the site that links to your site. An important ‘authority’ site that points to you is worth more than a whole list of unimportant sites. They also consider how old the links that point to you are, and a number of other factors about the link and the context in which it is found.

At the same time, the search engines are constantly on the look out for websites that attempt to fool them into thinking that they are more relevant or more popular than they actually are. Which is why the so-called ‘black-hat’ techniques quickly lose their effectiveness.

So, to get to the top of the search engines you need to do two things:

1. Optimize your on-page factors. There is plenty of information online about how to do that. It is not difficult. But, in itself, it is also not enough.

2. Get lots of high quality, one-way, relevant links to your website from as many other websites as possible.

How do you get people to link to you?

1. Create a fantastic website so that others just honestly want to tell others about your site.

2. Pay others to link to you – buy a text link, or offer an affiliate program.

3. Swap links with other websites – but reciprocal links are clearly not worth as much as one-way back-links and it is a lot of work to do this effectively anyway.

4. Provide them with fresh, unique content that adds value to their site in return for which they must agree to post a link back to you. Thousands of sites are constantly looking for fresh, unique content. They get this content by searching through article directories, or by subscribing to article submission services.

So, if you send out articles to these directories, your articles will end up both on the directories themselves AND on the niche sites that pick up and use our articles. AND some of these sites are likely to be valuable “authority”-type sites. Of course, whether it is taken up and by whom, depends on the quality of your article.

So, there you have it, the last method is the simplest and most effective. It gives you hundreds or thousands of one way back-links, from relevant, niche sites, all for free. All you need is some way to get different, unique, articles to each of those directories and ezine publishers, which is, of course, exactly what our software does.

But wait a minute! It doesn’t stop there. The real power behind this method comes when you use it regularly. Preferably at least once a week. Imagine getting 200 to 1800 new permanent one way links every week! By the end of a year, you could easily have 50,000 or more relevant, quality, one-way links to your site! And you can connect the submission process to a timer to put everything on autopilot!

That is the real power of this system’s software and that is why it beats every other traffic generation and SEO system there is.

This DLGuard review focuses on using this shopping cart software for effectively handling the sales and distribution of digital ebooks. While the product is not restricted to PDF files (it handles anything that can be downloaded over the web) it is particularly suited to running any fledgling ebook business.

Back in 2008 I was writing ebooks and looking for an independent way of selling ebooks online. From my experience, using the large online sites results in the loss of control over the products marketing and a lost opportunity to capture customer data at the point of sale (essential for cross-selling and mailing lists). So I tried DLGuard.

DLGuard installs onto most web servers and immediately provides the shopping cart pages and back end business logic for dealing with payment processors. Initializing your product inventory is a trivial task to specify download folders and meta-data for the ebooks (names, author, copyright, promotional coupons, etc.).

The sole task that may take some time is the optional activity of customizing the checkout pages to blend in with your site. This could be outsourced (the code is scripted with the flexibility to do this) or you could just stick with the defaults.

Where DLGuard really begins to power your ebook business is after a sale is made (and the software has processed the payment with Paypal/Clickbank/etc). It auto-replies to the customer with an email containing the download link to their purchase.

Securing this download link is critical to protecting your intellectual property by unscrupulous people sharing the link. DLGuard can be configured to limit the download attempts and set a validity period for the link which will halt a lot of lost sales for your business.

So once the page customization is complete, inventory established and hooks to the cart added to your site there is very little maintenance required with DLGuard. If someone requests a refund then it is a simple task to query the products tracking data and reimburse the customer.

If your site is getting sufficient traffic then it is worth selling from your own website, and DLGuard can ably provide this functionality. If your site receives low traffic volumes then you may be best advised to combine selling from your own site along with putting your ebooks on major online sites (to leverage their traffic in the initial stages).

Writing ebooks or software and want to sell them yourself? Then read my DLGuard review – the one-stop solution for selling digital downloads.

I wonder whether you know just how much article submission software has improved over recent years? For instance, this article was written and submitted to thousands of directories, lists and blogs over a period of a month on auto-pilot by the world’s most advanced article management software.

Please, you won’t want miss out on this one, as it really is that important, if your game plan involves promoting any website on the Internet.

Frankly, there is simply no other traffic generation system that works better, costs less, and is completely immune to search engine changes.

Remember, this is not some fancy new black-hat technique. It is completely legitimate, completely solid, and completely reliable. This system will take your article, create thousands of variations and then post them to thousands of sites. All with your sites link in the by-line. But not only that! It only posts your article to sites that want sites like yours (based on your chosen keywords) and posts according to a schedule chosen by you: ie 10, 20, 50, 100, 1,000 posts a day, starting on any future date you choose! So you could write say, three articles and have the first one go out starting the next day at 300 a day; the second one starting after seven days at 100 sites a day; and the third starting after two weeks at a rate of 50 sites a day.

What really IS new is that this already well-established method has now been put on steroids. It combines, for the first time ever, the power of article submission with the benefits of unique content and it does it in such a way that it is simplicity itself to use.

It is worthwhile spending a bit of time checking out this software, if you are seriously trying to promote something on the Internet. It will make your job much easier by automating a great deal of the problems connected with article submission.

It is important to realize that an organic link on the first page of Google provides about six times the traffic of a sponsored (Adsense) link on the same page. Just how much would you from that each month? Now multiply that by, say, a hundred or a thousand and you can begin to understand the value of this method!

Are you in Internet marketing? If so, you need to publish articles, so you need to look at this site Internet marketing

Article marketing with article submission software has long been a great way of getting your articles published online, and generating traffic to your webs sites. When we first started using this technique to drive traffic, it used to work like the cowboys in the wild west - rounding up hoards of traffic and driving it all directly at your site.

Article marketing with article submission software has long been a great way of getting your articles published online, and generating traffic to your webs sites. When we first started using this technique to drive traffic, it used to work like the cowboys in the wild west – rounding up hoards of traffic and driving it all directly at your site. Publish a few articles and you could be pretty much guaranteed to get traffic. But the new duplicate filters the search engines started using recently suddenly made the old way of article marketing much less effective.

But the good old days are back again. The problem with the old system of submitting articles to article directories was that whether you performed the process manually, or used automated systems and software to do it for you, each article directory got the same copy of the article. So you literally had hundreds of copies of the exact same article all over the internet.

Each copy of your article counted as a new and unique backlink to your site, and more backlinks means better rankings in the search engines. Better rankings in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) means more traffic to your site.

Up until recently, this technique was working extremely well, but it’s now becoming less and less effective since the search engines started filtering out duplicate content. What this means is that each time the search engine finds a new copy of your article on one of the many hundreds of article directories online, they will simply ignore it as they are already aware of that article and are only logging the first version they find.

So what we really need now is an article submission system where we can upload a new article, and have that system submit a totally unique copy of that article to each and every article directory it submits to. But what we don’t want is for the submission system to create unreadable crappy content for our article – it needs to be just as good as our original.

We’d also like the software to automatically submit our unique articles to hundreds of different article directories for us, and use a unique version of the resource box for each article. If we could also vary the anchor texts in the resource box (or bio) that would really make the package complete.

Well, the good old days are here again – a new application has recently been released that does all this and more. It gets round the duplicate content filters in a totally search engine friendly way (there’s nothing “black hat” here). The technique it uses to create unique content is so simple, I’m almost embarrassed that I didn’t think if it. But it’s so devastatingly effective it will really blow you away with the results you’ll get from using it. My only complaint is that the owner doesn’t really do it justice on his website – but I guess he just wanted to massively over deliver on what he promises.

I have posted a more in depth review of the software on my website at http://www.octocat.com/unique-content-article-marketing/ which explains in greater detail how it works and why you need to get your hands on it as quickly as possible.

There are hundreds and more article content directories on the internet today. Just submitting your article to article directory sites doesn’t guarantee that it is going to be published. Many article websites have acceptance requirements that are reasonably general in sense. Nearly all of the bigger, more well-liked sites, are often difficult about what gets published and what gets denied.

If you would like to make sure that more of your articles are accepted by online article directories you have to make sure your article meets the article directory owners tenets. As an owner and publisher of article sites for years, I’m amazed at how many authors don’t bother to read thru submission requirements. A handful of article directories will accept any article submitted, particularly if it is a less established article index, as a way to build up their article count. Nonetheless article sites that are more established with high Alexa and Google rankings, have a tendency to be more picky in what’s posted in their article directory.

The most common mistakes article authors make in posting their article include:

1. Affiliate links and advertisements. Many article sites don’t accept articles with affiliate links in them. This is routinely permitted in the author’s resource box but many writers insist on adding their affiliate links in the article or the body sounds more like a sales pitch. This kind of article is frequently rejected. Be certain to make your essay informational to the reader.

2. E-mail links in articles or resource boxes. Though many editors aren’t involved with e-mails in articles or in a resource box, writers must be aware of the issues that may arise from utilizing them. Article directory websites are constantly being scanned by not only search websites but by email harvester and automated bots also. Listing your e-mail in any online webpage opens the author up to get an overwhelming quantity of spam and is usually not a bright idea. Emails also change every now and then, leaving you with doubtless thousands of articles on the internet with an e-mail address that no longer exists.

3. Word count is low. Not all directories put word count limitations on articles. Personally, any article that is less than four-hundred words is just written in order to get a link back to the writer’s site. Articles that range between 600 to 800 words are sometimes better written and basically contain some price for the reader. Confirm your article meets the word count rules to help increase acceptance rates. Each article web page has different rules for article submissions.

If you’d like to increase the exposure you get through your article content, make sure you become familiar with the standards for each article website that you send articles to. By following these author laws, you not only increase your odds of getting your article printed, you also set yourself up as a convincing writer and increase your site traffic also.

Your website is where your business resides — it’s like the headquarter of an offline company. Hence, it is important to practice good website design principles to make sure your site reaches out to the maximum number of visitors and sells to as many people as possible.

Make sure you have clear directions on the navigation of your website. This is one of the good website design practices. The navigation menu should be uncluttered and concise so that visitors know how to navigate around your website without confusion.

Large images make your site load very slowly and more often than not they are very superfluous. Reduce the amount of images on your website.

Is any image is essential on your web site? Then ensure you optimize them making use of image editing programs so that they have a bare minimum file size.

Among the good website design practices is that if a paragraph is too protracted, you should split it into various paragraphs so that the text blocks will not be too big. Keep your text paragraphs at a reasonable length. This is important because a block of text that if too large will deter visitors from reading your content.

If your website appears great in Internet Explorer but breaks terribly in Opera, you will lose out on a lot of potential visitors. Be sure your website is designed in accordance with web standards at www.w3.org and make sure they are cross-browser compatible.

Avoid using scripting languages on your site unless it is absolutely necessary. Use scripting languages to handle or manipulate data, not to create visual effects on your website. This is one of the best website design practices.

In addition Heavy scripts will reduce speed of the loading time of your site and even crash some browsers. Hence Using them will not be the best website design practices. What’s more, scripts are not supported across all browsers, so a number of visitors might miss important information because of that.

Lastly CSS save a lot of work by styling all elements on your website in one go. Therefore make use of them to style your page content. Using them will be a good website design practice.

Abraham Saleh’s php site hosting and web hosting free no ads companies have excellent hosting packages for you

The DLGuard set of scripts allow anybody with their own web server to sell digital products over the internet through providing secure download links after administering the checkout and handling payment processing of sales. This DLGuard review principally highlights the products use in selling ebooks online, but the product can handle any digital file type that can be uploaded.

The product is a set of scripts that cover all the functionality required of a sales management tool. This includes inventory administration, providing on-site purchase links, interfacing with Paypal (and other payment processing companies), etc.

The checkout phase in DLGuard is able to handle a number of possible sales types. The simplest sales type is the sale of a single product or item. If your ebook business follows a publisher style business model then the application facilitates customers with a shopping basket to store items before checkout. Lastly selling website memberships (monthly sales) can also be managed. If you have free downloads then you could also use the single-item sales approach (omitting the payment step) in order to capture customer email addresse.

My own experience with the product started three years ago and the initial intention was to start selling ebooks online (both my own books and ebook reselling) and some sales of software applications (principally add-ons for larger applications).

Installing the product took less than a half hour to complete. Setting up my inventory of files to make available for download took a little longer. As did adding buy now hyperlinks to 4 of my sites. Within a few days DLGuard was already fully managing the checkout process, dealing with Paypal and sending customers their download links.

Long term, I will expand out my sites with membership areas using DLGuard and provide some value-added eBooks in detailing my approach to writing plug-ins for application and how to sell software on-line. DLGuard facilitates this advanced functionality out of the box and the current trend toward membership sites highlights the benefit of receiving such a passive income stream regularly.

Originally I looked into selling ebooks through one of the large on-line distributors. My objection to this was that I not be able to create my own customer sign-up lists during the checkout process. Having to pay a sales commission also made the deal a little one sided.

The only setback to this product is the two domain license limitation (i.e. you may install it on two website domains). Most users can work around this by buying more licenses or alternately create a single sales server where you install DLGuard and have your other sites URLs point to the sales server at checkout. This does mean though that your checkout pages would not be branded to look visually identical to your other sites.

In conclusion, the goal of any download sales management tool is that it securely handles inventory, check-out and payment processing with little or no intervention on the owners part. DLGuard has done this admirably leaving me more time to focus on writing ebooks and sourcing other business opportunities.

With the advent of netbooks, smart phones and the Kindle Reader, writing ebooks is now seen as a plausible and achievable method for any author to publish their own work. This article provides a simple guide to getting the book idea from concept to digital format.

All good books start with the initial concept. You can brainstorm some ideas or run some market research to establish what your customers wish to read. Once you have set the books goal then this drives all content for the book. Note these thoughts down on paper/notepad/a word processor.

Start compiling your ideas into chapters or scenes (if it is a dramatic/fictional piece of work). For non-fiction work choose a format for the sub-sections of your book. Take some inspiration from the types of sub-sections you were impressed by in one of your favorite books.

Depending on the type of book you are writing you may intend farming out some of the writing, possibly to researchers or experts in the chosen field. Contact these other writers once the book structure is set and start commissioning their work in a file format of your choice. If you are writing the content yourself then pick your favorite word processor (Open Office/Microsoft Word/etc) and start writing the chapters.

On the subject of formats, most word processors can save or export files to alternate file formats so don’t get hung up on being restricted to one. As you write/compile the content then make regular copies of your work that should be versioned and additional copies stored on disks/thumb-drives for safe-keeping.

Next decide upon the design of your ebook. You can outsource this design too if desired. Try to maintain an overall branding for the book with a consistent to the header section, footer section, cover/splash page (the first page in the book that generally sets the tone of the book) and the choice and sizes of fonts used.

Feel free to experiment with page formats. Ebooks are read online or via readers (such as the Kindle) so don’t always need to follow strict page design. Sometimes a variety of graphics and font sizes (as would be seen in magazines) can help emphasize and differentiate your work.

Lastly, to create a PDF file you simply export the file (or use ‘Save As’ in Microsoft Word) a copy of the ebook in PDF file format. Other alternates to Word include the Open Office Suite word processor. So, by using little other than a word processor it is possible to create a PDF ebook ready for distribution.

Press releases are the secret weapon of the savvy internet marketer. Many people are put off by the thought of having to write something that seemingly everyone in the world could see but there is no need to panic. If you don’t want your boss to see what you’re doing in your spare time, you can always use a pseudonym. Press releases are little understood yet powerful methods of getting your message to masses of people.

Write your press release about something interesting. If you are intent on doing nothing more than writing a sales pitch for your product, you are missing the point. Nobody likes to be sold to so make sure that you research the current trends in your industry and make a point that people will be genuinely interested to read about. If you were the editor, don’t you think that you would be a little tired of hearing the same old rubbish all the time?

If a press release site submission is to is a major reference site, your press release can end up being syndicated (published by other sites) as they will pick up news from the major reference site. I send press release to my list of 24 reference sites and have ended up with those press releases being picked up by many more site, including Google news. This can be a very useful source of backlinks to your website from recognised, authority websites.

Writing compelling, interesting content is absolutely essential if your press release is going to hold the attention of anyone in today’s information age. We are all very busy all of the time so write with the reader in mind. What do they want to know? Why should they read this information? A good headline will entice the reader to want to read more information. This is also an excellent way of getting additional traffic to your own website if you add in the main keyword phrase in to the headline of your press release.

The length of a press release is also important. Around 300 words seems to work well. Enough information to get the point over yet small enough to take up only a little room on the website that will publish the information. Get these simple pointers right and your press release will get published, get syndicated and if you include a subtle link back to your website, will get you additional search engine exposure as well
